Domestic smartphone brand Ai+ has announced price hikes across its Nova 2 and Pulse 2 series in India. Depending on the model and variant, the prices have increased by Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. However, buyers can still purchase the smartphones at their old prices until November 13th, after which the revised pricing will take effect. “As (component) cost pressures persist, particularly in price-sensitive segments, Ai+ Smartphone has continued to evaluate their impact while working to maintain affordability for consumers. However, with input costs remaining elevated, the company has undertaken another measured pricing adjustment to maintain a sustainable balance between affordability and product experience,” said Ai+ in a press release.
It’s not just Ai+, several other manufacturers have been forced to increase the prices of their smartphones due to RAM and storage shortages. Reports indicate that global memory prices (RAM and storage) have surged massively, some say up to fourfold since late 2025 due to AI data centre demand.
If you have been eyeing any of these smartphones, now is a good time to buy one before the price hikes take effect. The handsets offer large batteries and run NxtQuantum OS, which Ai+ touts as India’s first sovereign mobile operating system. The OS is designed to keep user data within India’s digital infrastructure rather than storing it on servers overseas.
