Prolific consumer electronics maker OPPO is poised to release the first member of the next generation of its mid-range A-series handsets, the OPPO A58. This MediaTek Dimensity 700-powered, ColorOS 12.1 phone will feature an HD+ 6.56″ LCD display with V-shaped notch and 90Hz refresh rate.
Shipping in tranquil sea blue, breeze purple, or starry sky black, the 5G-capable A58 will come in a number of memory configurations — 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB — for its LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2-compliant storage. Its 3880mAh battery will support 33-watt charging.
It’ll have a 50-megapixel main camera with Samsung-built sensor, a 108MP secondary rear shooter, and an eight-megapixel, front-facing selfie cam in that notch cutout. And in what’s sure to please a wide swath of sound-quality-conscious users, the A58 will feature an increasingly rare 3.5-millimeter headphone jack on board.
