HP has launched the HyperX OMEN 15 in India. This is the brand’s first gaming laptop under the refreshed HyperX branding that debuted at CES 2026. With this launch, the company brings its gaming laptops, desktops, peripherals, and software under a unified HyperX ecosystem. The brand aims it at delivering a more integrated gaming experience.
In terms of availability, HP will sell the HyperX OMEN 15 through Flipkart and select offline retail channels. The laptop starts at Rs 1,49,999, and it goes up to Rs 1,59,999 for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 variant. Both variants come in a Shadow Black finish.
At the core of the HyperX OMEN 15 is a 14th Gen Intel Core i7-14650HX processor paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. Together, they deliver up to 170W of total processor power. This should ensure strong performance for modern AAA titles, esports, and content creation.
Meanwhile, HP has focused heavily on responsiveness, equipping the laptop with an 8K polling rate keyboard. It is said to offer up to four times faster input response for competitive gameplay.
HP seems to be positioning the HyperX OMEN 15 as a device built for low latency, sustained power, and long-term reliability. Furthermore, the laptop uses OMEN AI and Unleashed Mode to automatically optimise performance and thermals in real time. The company also mentions that OMEN AI Beta remains available globally.
Furthermore, it also features OMEN Tempest Cooling. As per the brand, it will reverse airflow to reduce dust build-up and maintain consistent cooling during extended gaming sessions.
On the display front, the HyperX OMEN 15 sports a 15.3-inch 2.5K IPS panel. The panel supports a 180Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and up to 500 nits of brightness. It covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut and carries Eyesafe certification to reduce blue light exposure. As a result, the display aims to balance visual clarity, colour accuracy, and long-term comfort for marathon gaming sessions.
HP bundles the OMEN Gaming Hub, which allows users to fine-tune performance, power, and cooling profiles. At the same time, OMEN Light Studio enables per-key RGB lighting and optional RGB light bar customisation. The laptop runs on Windows 11, offering a modern interface with optimisations for both productivity and gaming. We will comment more on the performance and optimisation of the laptop once we test and review it. Meanwhile, you can check out the HyperX OMEN MAX 16 hands on form the CES 2026.
Commenting on the launch, Vineet Gehani, Senior Director, Personal Systems, HP India, said the HyperX OMEN 15 brings together speed, precision, and consistency for serious gamers. According to the company, the new device reflects HP’s broader push to strengthen its gaming ecosystem in India.
The entry-level RTX 50-series segment is quickly becoming a value battleground. Brands are now packing Blackwell GPUs into more affordable gaming laptops than before. In this space, HP’s HyperX OMEN 15 competes closely with the MSI Katana 15 HX, which offers similar RTX 5060 performance. It currently sits at Rs 1,34,990, which is Rs 25,000 less than OMEN’s RTX 5060 variant. One might also consider HP’s own Victus 15-fa2009xx, priced closer to Rs 1.2 lakh for more budget-focused buyers.
Meanwhile, RTX 5050-powered models from ASUS, Lenovo, and Dell continue to target users who prioritise price over peak performance. For buyers, the decision now comes down to whether premium features like better cooling, displays, and build quality justify the extra cost. Otherwise, value-focused alternatives may deliver enough performance for everyday gaming.
