Infinix GT 50 Pro is here with liquid cooling system, shoulder triggers, and Dimensity 8500 Ultimate
Infinix has once again expanded its gaming-oriented GT series with the announcement of the GT 50 Pro. As the successor to the Infinix GT 30 Pro, the GT 50 Pro brings a truckload of improvements across the board, including a newer processor, advanced cooling capabilities, and software that is tuned to run certain titles at up to 144FPS. While the phone has only been released in Indonesia, starting at IDR 69,98,000 (approx. Rs 35,000), it should make its way to global markets like India soon in the coming months.

What features and specifications does the Infinix GT 50 Pro boast?
The Infinic GT 50 Pro sports a big 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPS display with 1.5K resolution (1208 x 2644 pixels). As a result, the refresh rate can switch between 30Hz all the way up to 144Hz, depending on what you’re doing. With up to 330Hz touch sampling and even 2800Hz instant touch sampling rate, this should help in offering super precise inputs in games.
The screen gets incredibly bright, peaking at 4500 nits, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut for vibrant colours, and it’s TÜV Low Blue Light certified to be easier on the eyes. It’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, so it should hold up decently against scratches. Running under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultimate, the same chipset we recently saw on the POCO X8 Pro and Motorola Edge 70 Pro. You get 12GB of fast LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Coming to the main highlight of the GT 50 Pro, the smartphone features HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture. This micro-pump liquid-cooling network covers almost the entire rear, including the battery and processor. The liquid within the pipeline flows from heat zones to cooler areas to increase heat dissipation and maintain long-term stability. If that wasn’t enough, Infinix has also packed a 7,700mm² vapour chamber to further aid in cooling during intensive gaming.

On the camera side, there’s a dual rear setup: a 50MP main sensor with f/1.59 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), plus an 8MP ultrawide lens at f/2.2. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 13MP front camera. On the software front, the GT 50 Pro boots Android 16-based XOS 16 with a promise of five OS upgrades.
Battery life looks solid with a massive 6,500mAh cell. It supports up to 45W wired fast charging, 10W reverse wired charging, 30W wireless charging, and 5W wireless reverse charging. When paired with the optional GT MagCharge Cooler 2.0, it even enables wireless bypass charging so the phone doesn’t overheat while gaming and charging at the same time.
How will the Infinix GT 50 Pro be positioned in India?
Taking into account the widespread rise in prices of smartphones across price segments, the Infinix GT 50 Pro will certainly be released with a major price gap over its predecessor. For context, the GT 30 Pro with the Dimensity 8350 debuted in India at Rs 24,999. The Infinix GT 50 Pro, on the other hand, could easily fetch an asking price of over Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000, placing it directly against the POCO X8 Pro.
Even with a price above Rs 30,000, the GT 50 Pro has several favourable factors going for it, such as a unique liquid cooling system, pressure-sensitive triggers, and all-out gaming aesthetics, something which the POCO smartphone misses out on. Even though the Dimensity 8500 Ultra isn’t the most top-tier offering from the chipset maker, it should offer enough power to run most heavy games out there, including AAA titles, like Hitman: Absolution and Tomb Raider.
