Infinix Note 40 Pro+ vs OnePlus Nord CE4: design

Infinix-Note-40-Pro-Plus

Both the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ and the Nord CE4 have a contrasting design. While the Nord CE4 goes with a traditional look, the Infinix phone looks more premium. The OnePlus Nord CE4 has a boxy chassis with flat edges and a polycarbonate body, while the Infinix phone offers a curved AMOLED display with narrow bezels and a leather back panel option in Green and Gold dual-tone option.

The Nord CE4 has an oval-shaped camera module on the back to house dual camera sensors. The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ has a large camera island taking up a good chunk of the top portion.

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ vs OnePlus Nord CE4: display

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ and Nord CE4 come with similar displays. They both offer an AMOLED panel, which delivers vivid colours and punchy blacks. They also support a 120Hz refresh rate. However, where the Infinix phone takes the edge is with its curved screen compared to the flat display on the Nord.

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ also leads with a slightly brighter screen at 1300 nits peak brightness compared to 1100 nits offered by the OnePlus phone. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Rest, you get a 6.78-inch screen on the Note 40 Pro+ and a 6.7-inch panel on the Nord CE4.

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ vs OnePlus Nord CE4: performance

In the performance department, the OnePlus Nord CE4 definitely has the advantage as it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 SoC on the Infinix Note 40 Pro and Pro+. This is evident from the AnTuTu benchmark as well. The OnePlus phone scored 8 lakh in our test while the vanilla Note 40 Pro 8GB RAM scored around 4.6 lakh. We didn’t get the Note 40 Pro+ to review yet, but that should get a similar, if not slightly higher, AnTuTu score as it comes with a higher 12GB RAM.

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ vs OnePlus Nord CE4: cameras

The Infinix Note 40 Pro+ packs a 108MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture, OIS and LED flash, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.

On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE4 is equipped with a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. We get a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies. This suggests the Infinix phone will produce slightly sharper and more detailed selfies thanks to a higher megapixel count. For those who care about numbers, the 108MP shooter on the Note 40 Pro+ sounds better but we will have more to talk about in our full review of the phone.

Infinix Note 40 Pro+ vs OnePlus Nord CE4: battery, software

Nord CE4

Coming to the battery department, the OnePlus Nord CE4 gets a bigger 5,500mAh battery compared to the 4,600mAh battery inside the Infinix Note 40 Pro+. Additionally, both phones offer the same 100W fast charging support and the adapter is bundled in the box. The Infinix phone comes with 20W wireless MagCharge support. Infinix promises the bundled 100W charger can juice up from 0-50 percent in just 8 minutes with hyper mode enabled.

Both phones run on Android 14 OS out of the box. However, the OnePlus Oxygen UI is near stock so you get a cleaner software experience out of the box. On the flip side, the Infinix phone ships with a custom XOS system. OnePlus is offering two years of Android OS updates similar to Infinix.
