iQOO 12 India launch teased, will be country’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone

iQOO 12 will debut in China on November 7th at 7 pm CST (4.30 pm IST). iQOO 12 is also confirmed to be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone in India, which means its India launch could coincide with its China unveiling, or soon after. Either way, we should know more about the iQOO 12 launch date in India soon.

iQOO 12 design as per leaked renders

As per the leaked renders (via), iQOO 12 appears to have a triple rear camera setup within a squircle island at the back. The LED sensor is outside this island. The back also has the iQOO branding towards the bottom side.

The renders reveal the phone's white and black colours. These are said to have a glass build. There is also a rumour of a red vegan leather variant, which is yet to make an appearance.

The front has curved edges, a punch-hole cutout, and rather slim bezels.

iQOO 12 processor, battery and other specifications 

• Processor: Soon after Qualcomm revealed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in Hawaii, iQOO came forward with the disclosure that its upcoming iQOO 12 series will sport this chipset.
• Battery: As per a recent DigitalChatStation tip, the iQOO 12 could have a bigger 6,000mAh cell with 100W or 120W fast charging support. So, no 200W charging speed as previously rumoured.

• Display: On the front, there could be a 6.7-inch E7 AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
• Memory: The phone could bring 12GB/16GB/24GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options.
• Cameras: The back cameras could consist of a 50MP main camera (OIS) accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide snapper and a 64MP 3x telephoto camera. The front camera, meanwhile, could be a 32MP shooter.
• Miscellaneous features: Among other things, the iQOO 12 could also have an in-screen fingerprint reader and IP68 ingress protection.
