Vivo sub-brand iQOO is all set to launch the iQOO 5 in China on August 17th. The company has been teasing several key features of the upcoming flagship and it is shaping up to be quite a powerful phone. The iQOO 5 will succeed the iQOO 3, the latter having been launched in India earlier this year. The iQOO 3, to recall, is powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset and is currently selling for as low as 34,990 on Flipkart right now. The iQOO 5 is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset and will come with features like a 120Hz display, 120W fast charging, and more.

The company has posted several teasers on Weibo, revealing key iQOO 5 features. Firstly, the smartphone will launch with a 120Hz AMOLED display with 240Hz touch response rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR10+. A leaked render suggests the phone will come with a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner.

The iQOO 5 is confirmed to launch with 120W fast charging solution, which is capable of charging a 4,000mAh battery to 50 percent in just 5 minutes and 100 percent in 15 minutes. The phone comes with TUV Rheinland certification for safe fast charging. The iQOO 5 will also feature 120db Hi-Fidelity, Hi-Res Audio. 

Lastly, we know that the iQOO 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. We don’t know the exact RAM and storage details as of now. The company should reveal more details, including a clear render of the phone in the days leading up to the phone’s launch on August 17th.
