The iQOO Z11 series has made its global debut in Malaysia, after launching in China this March. The lineup consists of two phones: the iQOO Z11 and iQOO Z11x. These are iQOO’s mid-range phones, with the Z11x as the more affordable variant of the two, which is already available in India. The iQOO Z11 offers a 144Hz display, a massive 9,020mAh battery, and a 50MP primary camera. iQOO has launched the new Z-series in Malaysia, with a wider rollout for the iQOO Z11 in markets like India expected soon.

iQOO Z11 specifications

The iQOO Z11 features a large 6.83-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits of peak brightness. This display makes the phone suitable for outdoor use and gaming, thanks to its high refresh rate. Powering the phone is the popular Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 mid-range chipset, which is known to deliver capable performance for regular to moderate usage. Its highlight, however, is the large 9,020mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.

For optics, you get a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, and a 32MP front camera. This camera setup is quite standard for this segment, meaning it’s good for casual photography. The handset comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and runs OriginOS 6 with Android 16 out of the box. In comparison to the iQOO Z10, you get a bigger battery and a faster chipset with the iQOO Z11. If it launches in India, the handset will most likely compete with the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion.

iQOO Z11x specifications

The iQOO Z11x gets a slightly smaller 6.76-inch FHD+ display, but with an LCD panel and not AMOLED. It offers a refresh rate up to 120Hz and 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo chipset, known to deliver capable performance in the mid-range category. The phone has a sizeable 7,200mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. With this battery capacity, the phone should comfortably last for an entire day and maybe even longer.

It has a dual-camera setup featuring a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP bokeh lens. You also get a 32MP front camera for selfies on the iQOO Z11x. Like the iQOO Z11, the Z11x also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. On the software front, the smartphone runs OriginOS 6 with Android 16 out of the box.

In terms of pricing, the iQOO Z11 starts at MYR 1,599 (Rs 38,600 approx) for the base variant, and the iQOO Z11x at MYR 1,099 (Rs 26,600 approx). Pricing would vary for different markets, but given the ongoing price hike in the smartphone industry, the iQOO Z11 series could be more expensive than anticipated when it launches here in India. Still, the iQOO Z11 can be worth waiting for if you want a capable mid-range phone with a large and vibrant display and a large battery. The iQOO Z11x can be considered as the affordable alternative offering a balanced set of specifications. If you’re currently using an older phone, you might find the Z11’s battery and display a compelling upgrade, but it’s still advised to wait for complete reviews before making a buying decision.
