iQOO Z7s 5G Indian variant spotted on Google Play supported devices list, launch imminent

iQOO Z7s appears on Google Play Certification

• Google Play Supported devices listing means that the Mountain View giant is offering smartphone makers a choice to pre-install Google's most popular apps on Android devices. The Android team at Google certifies these devices to verify that they are secure and ready to power the apps from Google and the PlayStore.
• The Google Play Certification shows the phone has the model number I2223 (the I stands for Indian).
• The certification listing fails to reveal much about the phone's hardware specifications.
• The iQOO Z7s has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, which showed Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity.
• The handset could arrive as the brand's mid-range offering with 5G network support.
• That's pretty much everything that is revealed about the iQOO Z7s at the moment but we should know more details soon.

iQOO Neo 8 launch soon

Separately, iQOO is gearing up to launch the premium Neo 8 series in China soon. The lineup will include two models: the iQOO Neo 8 and iQOO Neo 8 Pro. The vanilla iQOO Neo 8 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, while the iQOO Neo 8 Pro is tipped to feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The new series is likely to feature a 1.5K resolution AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout. The iQOO Neo 8 series is expected to come with a 50MP triple-camera setup and a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

The event will also witness the announcement of the first premium tablet, the iQOO Pad sometime later this month. The tablet is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, as per the leaks. Rumours point the tablet from iQOO will have quad speakers and an all-metal body. The upcoming tablet is tipped to feature dual-camera sensors on the back.
