iQOO Z9x roundup: India launch date, expected price, specs, design and everything we know so far

Smartphone brand iQOO has announced that it is launching the iQOO Z9x in India this month. Ahead of the official launch, the company has revealed several key details, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, a 6,000mAh battery, and much more. Additionally, the phone is already official in China. Let us do a quick recap of the iQOO Z9x, before it hits the shelves later this month.

iQOO Z9x India launch date, availability

The iQOO Z9x is confirmed to launch in India on May 16th. Like other iQOO phones, it will also be available on Amazon in the country. However, the availability dates aren't known at the moment. 

iQOO Z9x price, colours (expected)

• The India pricing details of the iQOO Z9x are not known yet. However, the phone might be priced at around Rs 15,000.
• The phone was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 1,149 (around Rs 13,500) for the 8GB+128GB storage. 
• The 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants are priced at CNY 1,249 (approx Rs 14,700) and CNY 1,449 (around Rs 16,700).
• In India, the iQOO Z9x will be offered in Storm Grey and Tornado Green colour options for Indian consumers.

iQOO Z9x specifications

• Display: The iQOO Z9x will boast a 6.72-inch Full HD+ 120Hz display with 1,000 nits of peak brightness.
• Processor: This iQOO smartphone is confirmed to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with Adreno GPU.
• Rear cameras: The iQOO Z9x will pack a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP dual secondary sensor.
• Selfie camera: On the front, the yet-to-revealed iQOO Z9x might flaunt an 8MP selfie camera.
• Storage: The iQOO Z9x will offer at least 8GB RAM, with an option to extend the RAM up to 8GB, and the internal storage can be expanded up to 1TB.
• OS: This iQOO smartphone will operate on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. IQOO has confirmed two OS updates and three years of security updates.
• Battery, charging: The phone is confirmed to feature a 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging technology.
• Other features: It will include an IP64 water and dust resistance rating, a 3.5mm audio jack, Hi-Res audio, and Stereo speakers.

iQOO Z9x design

The upcoming iQOO Z9x will likely feature a flat display with thin bezels on the sides. However, the bezels at the bottom are quite prominent. The images show that the power and volume keys will be placed on the right edge while the SIM slot will be on the left.

Meanwhile, the back panel will offer a textured look with the squarish camera module placed on the top left. The module consists of two camera lenses and a flash. IQOO's branding is done on the bottom centre.
