Motorola has expanded its 2026 G-series lineup by launching the Moto G77 Power in India today. Featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 6400, the smartphone is aimed at users seeking a reliable performative smartphone that can handle regular day-to-day tasks. However, what makes it stand out is the inclusion of the 50MP LYTIA 600 primary camera, a 1/2-inch sensor, which is not so common anymore in the segment. With the sale starting soon, the G77 Power could be a compelling choice for those seeking strong photography and excellent battery endurance.

The Moto G77 Power comes in a single storage configuration featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Priced at Rs 25,999, the handset will be available in PANTONE Fuchsia Red, PANTONE Nautical Blue, and PANTONE Impenetrable colourways.

The phone goes on sale starting July 13th on Flipkart, Motorola.in, and retail stores across India. As part of the early bird launch offers, the G77 Power can be grabbed at an effective price of Rs 23,999 through bank offers.

Moto G77 Power design and specifications overview

Much like previous Moto G-series releases, the Moto G77 Power sports a protruding camera layout and features multiple rear finishes. While to some the design may seem repetitive, Motorola seems to be maintaining cohesiveness across all its smartphones. Turning the phone over to its display, it sports a 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with up to 120Hz refresh rates and a high brightness of up to 1,050 nits.

Running under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400, the same 6nm-based chipset we saw on the Moto G37 Power recently, which achieved scores of 5,70,353 and 1,349 in our in-house AnTuTu and Geekbench multi-core tests, respectively. The chipset is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, which is further expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card.

For optics, the Moto G77 Power features a 50MP LYTIA 600 primary camera with a 1/2-inch sensor size along with an 8MP ultrawide lens. Given that most phones above Rs 20,000 are settling for 1/2.76 or even smaller sensors, the 1/2-inch sensor is a great addition on the G77 Power, which should result in sharper and clearer images, especially in low light conditions. Both rear and front cameras are capable of shooting videos in up to 2K resolution at 30FPS.

The device boots on Android 16-based Hello UI out of the box and is assured of the Android 17 update down the line. Furthermore, it’s set to receive security patch updates for up to three years. While competitors are promising at least two major OS upgrades, a single major Android update feels underwhelming.

Rocking a massive 7,000mAh battery, the G77 Power should deliver enough endurance to last at least 1.5 days even on heavy use, as was the case with the G37 Power when we reviewed it. For top-ups, the handset gets a bundled 30W power adapter, while 6W reverse wired charging is also present to help others charge their device.

The Moto G77 Power also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, Dolby Atmos-supported stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, all of which combine to enhance the day-to-day user experience.

Should you consider buying Moto G77 Power?

Given the launch price of Rs 25,999, the Moto G77 Power rivals the likes of the OnePlus Nord N6 and iQOO Z11x, both of which also carry an LCD display and large batteries. The Moto G77 Power’s advantages, at least on paper, include a bigger primary camera sensor size, which should result in more detailed images, a full HD+ resolution display (N6 is restricted to HD+), and multiple funky colour choices.

On the other hand, the iQOO Z11x may offer better performance numbers, thanks to Dimensity 7400, while it’s also set to gain two major OS upgrades, whereas the G77 Power is restricted to just one.
