Moto X50 Ultra appears on Geekbench ahead of launch tomorrow

The Moto X50 Ultra will be the China version of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra and is set to debut on May 16th. The handset was recently spotted on TENAA and fast charging details were revealed through China’s 3C listing. Now, the Moto X50 Ultra has appeared on the Geekbench platform. This reveals some key specifications and benchmarks of the phone.

  • The Geekbench listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, shows the phone will have the model number XT2401-2.
  • The handset has managed to score 1946 points in the single-core round and 5128 points in the multi-core round on Geekbench V6.2.0.

  • The Moto X50 Ultra packs 12GB RAM and boots Android 14 OS out of the box and this should be layered with the brand’s My UX custom skin.
  • The motherboard section mentions ‘Walt’ which could be associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC (1 + 3 + 4 core configuration).
  • The chipset will have a peak clock speed of 3.01GHz and the SoC will be paired with Adreno GPU.

The Moto X50 Ultra recently received 3C certification in China and this showed 125W fast charging support. The bundled adapter has the model number: MC-1258 and this supports 15W to 125W. Unlike the global model, the China version comes with dedicated AI features.

The Moto X50 Ultra’s TENAA listing showed the phone will sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 2712 X 1220 pixels resolution. There will be a 4,500mAh battery (actual is 4365mAh cell). The phone will measure 161.0 x 72.4 x 8.5mm and weighs 197 grams. The chipset will be paired with 8GB/12GB/16GB/18GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB storage.

If the Moto X50 Ultra is indeed a rebrand of the Edge 50 Pro, the phone will come with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP secondary lens, and a 64MP third sensor. There could be a 50MP front camera for selfies. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC, and UWB. We should learn more details about the phone when it launches tomorrow.
