Motorola Flexible Display Bracelet phone concept

  • Motorola is calling the flexible display phone concept an ‘Adaptive Display Concept’.
  • This is because the device is capable of adapting to different shapes and forms.
  • The concept device has a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED display when completely opened and laid flat.
  • Once you start bending the display, you will get to see the ‘Adaptive Display’ concept.
  • As said, the Flexible display can be worn on your wrist like a bracelet.
  • To recall, Motorola showed something similar way back in 2016 and the latest version apparently builds upon the display and mechanical innovations over the years.
  • It remains to be seen whether the concept ever becomes a reality.

When laid flat, the 6.9″ display runs a full Android experience, just like any smartphone. In the upright position, the device can be adjusted into a self-standing position, running a more compact form of full Android on a 4.6″ display. Users can also wrap the device around their wrist for a similar experience to the external display on Motorola Razr+ to stay connected while on the go,” says Motorola.

MotoAI and Other AI Features

Motorola-owned Lenovo is also working on a personal assistant, MotoAI. This is said to work on both smartphones and PCs. The AI will also apparently help users with answers to questions, drafting messages, and scheduling tasks. However, it is unclear when the MotoAI would be seen in action.

Motorola has further developed an AI model that can offer multiple AI-generated images based on the outfit one is wearing. Customers can use these images as wallpapers on the device. The AI is said to work locally on the device so you don’t have to worry about privacy.

The Doc Scanner app from Motorola will also get AI capabilities and will improve the final image quality. This will also reduce wrinkles and shadows from the image. Motorola is also working on the AI Text Summarization feature, which will summarise long texts like chats, emails, and articles.
