Motorola Razr 70 spotted on 3C certification with 33W charging support
The Motorola Razr 70 has appeared on China’s 3C certification database, revealing details about its charging capabilities ahead of its expected launch. The listing suggests the next clamshell foldable from Motorola will get a modest charging upgrade that aligns with earlier reports about the device.
The certification shows the phone with the model number XT2657-2, which was previously spotted on China’s TENAA database. According to the 3C listing, the device will support charging outputs of 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 11V/3A and 12V/2.5A, indicating a maximum wired charging speed of around 33W. That’s not significantly faster than its predecessor, the Motorola Razr 60, which came with support for 30W charging and shipped with a 33W charger in the box.

Information from the TENAA certification had already revealed several specifications of the Razr 70. The phone is expected to feature a 6.9-inch OLED main display with a 1080 x 2640 resolution, paired with a 3.63-inch OLED cover screen with a 1056 x 1066 resolution. The device is listed with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.75GHz, though the exact chipset has not been confirmed yet. Camera hardware could see a change. The Razr 70 could include a dual 50MP rear camera setup, with the secondary sensor likely serving as a telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. A 32MP camera is expected on the inner display for selfies and video calls.
The foldable is also tipped to come with up to 18GB RAM and 1TB of internal storage, placing it in the premium segment. It may pack a dual-cell battery with a combined capacity of around 4,500mAh, similar to its predecessor. The phone is listed at 7.2 mm thick and weighing about 188 gms.
Design-wise, images from certification filings suggest the phone will look largely similar to the previous generation. A purple shade seen in the listing resembles the African Violet colour option that surfaced in earlier leaks. Another colour, reportedly called Mountain View, is expected to appear in green.
The Razr 70 will succeed the Motorola Razr 60, which launched in India in May 2025 starting at Rs 49,999 with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X processor, and a 4,500mAh battery. The move to 33W charging on the Razr 70 suggests incremental upgrades rather than major changes in battery technology.
Motorola is also expected to expand its foldable lineup this year. Alongside the Razr 70 and the higher-end Razr 70 Ultra, the company is reportedly preparing its first book-style foldable, the Razr Fold, which was showcased at MWC this year. The Razr 70 could appeal to users who prefer the compact flip-style design but still want flagship-level hardware. However, since charging speeds and battery capacity appear largely unchanged, the final decision may depend on improvements in performance, cameras, and software compared to competing foldables expected later this year.
