Motorola rolls out Android 17 update in India starting with Motorola Signature; offering enhanced design, privacy, customisation

Just after publishing a list of devices eligible to receive the Android 17 update on Lenovo forums a couple of weeks back, Motorola has begun rolling out the firmware to its flagship device, the Signature. While other devices are confirmed to follow soon, the company notes that Android 17 is designed to make interactions smarter, more intuitive, and more personalised. As a result, users can expect redesigned interfaces, better customisations, and enhanced privacy and security features after the update.

What’s new on Motorola’s Android 17 update

According to Motorola’s official press release, the following changes and improvements have been made with the Android 17 update:

Redesigned quick settings panel: The quick settings panel has received a refreshed look, as seen on newer Android 16-based Motorola phones, such as the Moto Edge 70 Max and Moto G77 Power. The new panel will now be rolled out to all eligible Android 17 Motorola phones.
