Highlights
  • Motorola Signature will be priced in India starting at Rs 59,999, per the leakster.
  • The handset will be available in three RAM and storage configurations.
  • The top-end 16GB RAM and 1TB storage option will reportedly cost 69,999.

Motorola is making a return to the flagship segment after a gap of two years, and it’s doing so in style. The company is preparing to launch the Motorola Signature, which is expected to be the first smartphone in a new series aimed at premium buyers. The handset is set to debut in India on January 23rd, following its global unveiling at CES 2026 earlier this year. While Motorola has yet to officially reveal the device’s pricing, fresh details have surfaced online from the same tipster who previously leaked the smartphone’s box price.

According to the tipster, the Motorola Signature will be priced in India at Rs 59,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Interestingly, this is the same starting price Motorola set for its last flagship, the Edge 50 Ultra, which launched in 2024. If the leaked pricing proves accurate, the Signature would be positioned between flagship and sub-flagship offerings from rivals such as OnePlus, iQOO, and Realme.

The Motorola Signature is also said to be available in 16GB RAM + 512GB storage and 16GB RAM + 1TB storage configurations, which could cost Rs 64,999 and Rs 69,999, respectively. The pricing appears far more competitive than the previously leaked Rs 84,999 “box” price for the top-end variant of the Motorola Signature. The latest leak aligns more closely with Motorola’s strategy, which typically focuses on keeping its smartphones aggressively priced.

Irrespective of that, the OEM has neither confirmed nor denied the leak, so take the news with a grain of salt. The Motorola Signature will be Flipkart exclusive and could be available with an additional Rs 5,000 bank discount and up to Rs 7,500 off with exchange bonus.

As for the specs, they will be the same as the global variant. The Motorola Signature will offer a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 6,200 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. At its core will lie the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, which delivers flagship-level performance suitable for both everyday use and demanding tasks.

In optics, the phone will sport triple rear cameras, with a 50MP Sony Lytia 828 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. The front camera will also be of 50MP resolution. The handset will be backed by a 5,200mAh battery, which is adequate but trails newer rivals offering larger capacities.

On the software side, the Signature will run Android 16 out of the box and promises seven years of OS and security updates. The handset will also stand out with an IP68 and IP69-rated premium leather-finish design, a slim 6.99mm profile, and a lightweight 186g build.

With its strong specifications, the Motorola Signature shapes up as an enticing option, and if Motorola prices it competitively, it could be a smartphone well worth considering.
