Premium-looking and durable
The Motorola Signature is the company’s first premium offering (slab-based) since the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra in 2024. The OEM did not introduce the successor to that smartphone last year, and now, with the new Signature lineup, it seems that the Edge series will be mid-range exclusive.

With the Signature, Motorola is focusing on delivering a premium experience not just with specifications but with design as well. The smartphone debuts with a sleek frame, measuring just 6.99mm in thickness. Moreover, it weighs just 186 grams, making the device comfortable to hold and use for prolonged usage. On the rear panel, the Motorola Signature features a premium leather finish that should provide a comfortable in-hand feel.
The phone features a square-shaped camera module, identical to the Motorola Edge 70 (review), which sits within a distinct cut-out and has a slightly different finish from the rest of the back panel, creating a subtle dual-tone effect. Beyond its styling, the Motorola Signature is built for durability, offering IP68/IP69 water- and dust-resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification for enhanced ruggedness.
The Motorola Signature comes in Pantone Carbon and Pantone Martini Olive colour options.
Motorola specs breakdown: what you get

Regarding specifications, the Motorola Signature features a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 6,200 nits peak brightness, and support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. These are respectable features for a sub-flagship offering, and to protect that display, the smartphone boasts Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Under the hood, the Motorola Signature is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, which is just a notch below the 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, but as seen with the OnePlus 15R, it delivers an impressive performance, whether it is gaming, multitasking, or using the device for everyday use.
The chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Software-wise, the Motorola Signature runs Android 16 out of the box and comes with Moto AI features to enhance usability and productivity. What’s more impressive is the seven years of OS and security updates, putting the smartphone on par with Samsung and Google’s flagship offerings.

In optics, the Motorola Signature gets a 50MP OIS Sony Lytia 828 sensor + 50MP 112-degree FoV ultrawide lens + 50MP 3x Sony Lytia 600 periscope telephoto lens in the triple rear cameras. Up front, it sports a 50MP Sony Lytia 500 sensor with autofocus for selfies and video calling.
Fueling the device is a 5,200mAh battery, which may seem modest in today’s era of silicon-carbon cells and rivals pushing 7,000mAh or more. It will be interesting to see how well Motorola has optimised power efficiency to keep the Signature competitive in real-world use. Where the phone clearly stands out, however, is in charging. The handset supports 90W wired fast charging, promising rapid top-ups, alongside 10W wireless reverse charging and 5W wired reverse charging for powering accessories or other devices.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, GPS, dual speakers with Sound by Bose, Dolby Atmos support, and three microphones.
