Shortly after leaks surfaced that Nothing was planning a fourth Royal Challengers Bengaluru-inspired edition of the Nothing Phone 4b, the company has started officially teasing the device. In a collab reel posted on Instagram by Nothing India and RCB, cricketers Krunal Pandya, Tim David and Romario Shepherd are seen discussing the design of the phone.
Nothing Phone 4b RCB Edition features and specifications
The cricketers hint at an RCB logo on the back of the phone and a matte red finish. While Nothing hasn’t confirmed the final design, the special edition will stand apart visually from the regular Phone 4b. The standard model is expected to arrive in Black, Blue and White colour options. The RCB version could include exclusive wallpapers, themed accessories, custom packaging or a unique finish. A red, black and gold colour scheme inspired by the franchise is also possible, although this remains speculation. Nothing was the title sponsor of Royal Challengers Bengaluru as the team won its second consecutive IPL title this season.
The RCB Edition is unlikely to differ from the standard model in terms of hardware. Nothing has already confirmed a Snapdragon chipset, while leaks point to a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, Glyph Interface and Essential Key. Other expected specifications include up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 16MP selfie camera, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust and splash resistance, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The global version is tipped to come with a smaller battery due to European regulations.
Nothing Phone 4b India launch details
The Nothing Phone 4b is launching in India and globally on July 7th at 3.30 pm IST. A tipster claims the Nothing Phone 4b could be priced above Rs 30,000 in India. At that price, it is expected to compete with the OnePlus Nord CE 6 series, Motorola Edge lineup and the Redmi Note 15 Pro.
Nothing is unlikely to win purely on benchmark performance. Instead, it may continue to position the Phone 4b around its clean software, transparent design language and Glyph Interface. The RCB Edition could further strengthen that appeal if Nothing goes beyond a cosmetic refresh by including exclusive software elements or accessories. Cricket-themed smartphones remain rare in India, with most limited-edition devices typically focusing on gaming, anime or pop culture collaborations.
Given this is a special edition, buyers should consider if the unique branding and potential software additions will justify a premium over the standard Phone 4b or other competitors in this price bracket, especially if performance is a priority. Waiting for full reviews will provide a clearer picture of its overall value.
