OnePlus 12 is expected to launch in China very soon. We expect the announcement to happen later this month or sometime in December. At a dedicated camera event, OnePlus confirmed the camera and the display details of its upcoming flagship phone. As previously reported, OnePlus 12 will feature a new Sony LYT-808 sensor that has been co-developed with Sony.

OnePlus 12 camera details

OnePlus 12 will continue to have Hasselblad optics (Source) and, it will also leverage OPPO’s HDR and portrait-related technology for processing images.
The 50MP Sony LYT-808 1/1.4″ primary camera will be accompanied by the big 64MP 1/2.0″ periscope-telephoto lens with a focal length of 70mm, 3x optical zoom, f/2.6 aperture, and OIS.
OnePlus says the lens is produced using a new cutting-edge process and this is claimed to improve the performance of the telephoto unit.

The lens is marked as a “periscope” telephoto camera so we expect the zoom capabilities could be beyond 3x.
While also confirming the camera hardware, OnePlus has also posted some camera samples of the OnePlus 12 clicked in various scenarios.
There is also a teaser which confirms the OnePlus 12 will feature a 2K ProXDR display.

OnePlus 12 specifications (expected)

Display: The OnePlus 12 sports a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO BOE X1 OLED display with an OPPO P1 display chip, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and BOE single-pixel calibrating technology.
Battery: The handset could pack a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.
Processor: The handset could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with Adreno GPU.
RAM and Storage: The OnePlus 12 is expected to pack up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
OS: The phone runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS custom skin out of the box.
