OnePlus 12 camera samples
The OnePlus 12 camera samples were shared on Weibo, and the photos are of a coffee shop. All three images are of the same spot but each are clicked from different distances with one zoomed in highlighting the details.
OnePlus 12 is expected to come with major camera upgrades with the highlight being a periscope telephoto camera. It’s rumoured to house the OmniVision OV64B 64-megapixel 1/2-inch periscope telephoto lens with a 70mm focal length, and an f/2.5 aperture. This camera will reportedly offer a 3x optical zoom, and it will also come with OIS.
OnePlus and Sony also confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will come with Sony’s new LYTIA image sensor. This could be a 50MP Sony IMX966 1/1.4-inch primary camera with OIS, 23mm focal length, and an f/1.7 aperture. The smartphone will most likely house a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens as well, and this one could be a Sony IMX581 sensor with a 1/2-inch sensor, 14mm focal length and an f/2.2 aperture.
OnePlus 12 launch timeline (tipped)
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 12 will launch in November. This is earlier than the previous rumoured launch timeline for December. The smartphone is expected to debut in China, and launch in global markets later. The tipster also added that the OnePlus 12 base model will offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is also said to feature a 2K display, pack a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging support. The post reiterates the camera details as well, which is a Sony IMX966 or LYTIA LYT800 for the OnePlus 12.
