OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra tipped to launch in April again; 8,000mAh battery, Dimensity 9500 expected

Highlights
  • The Ace 6 Ultra is the third phone to launch from the lineup.
  • The smartphone focuses on raw performance and endurance, according to leaks.
  • The smartphone will debut in China.

As OnePlus prepares to launch the Nord 6 in India next week, there’s another performance-focused smartphone launching in China too. The OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra has reportedly surfaced on China’s MIIT certification platform, a development that typically signals an imminent launch. According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the listing hints that the device could debut as early as April. And if the leaks hold up, this won’t be just another incremental upgrade, as it’s shaping up to be a spec-heavy, performance-first flagship.

OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra specifications (expected)

The Ace 6 Ultra is similar to the flagship lineup but with a bigger focus on raw power and endurance over camera experimentation or ultra-premium pricing. Based on the recent leaks and rumours, here’s what to expect from the upcoming OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra:

  • MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset
  • Up to 165Hz flat display
  • 8,000mAh battery
  • 100W fast charging

This combination strongly signals a phone designed for gaming, sustained performance, and heavy daily usage, rather than just peak benchmark numbers. The 165Hz refresh rate, in particular, stands out. While most flagships today top out at 120Hz or 144Hz, pushing to 165Hz positions the Ace 6 Ultra as a proper gaming phone with smooth graphics and responsiveness. The flagship OnePlus 15 series also comes with a 165Hz refresh rate.

8,000mAh battery for the Ace 6 Ultra

Battery life looks set to be another defining feature. Leaks suggest a massive unit in the 8,000mAh range, supported by 100W fast charging. That combination points toward a shift in priorities across the segment, where brands are increasingly focusing on endurance and sustained performance. In practical terms, this could translate into a device that comfortably lasts well beyond a full day, even under heavy use. It would also be a significant upgrade over the Ace 5 Ultra’s 6700mAh battery.

The Ace 6 Ultra is likely to appeal to those who want a fast, reliable device that can handle demanding workloads without constantly worrying about battery life. It would make sense for people upgrading from an older phone to one for raw performance. However, Ace 5 Ultra users may want to wait for reviews to see if the upgrades make a big difference. OnePlus typically keeps the Ultra series limited to China, so it’s not confirmed if the phone will arrive in other markets like India. If it does, the Ace 6 Ultra would be a top contender for a performance-focused flagship, especially recommended for power users.
