“Our take on OPPO’s latest affordable smartphone – the A9 2020”
After years of reigning champion in the affordable segment, OPPO is struggling to find its feet amidst the ever-growing competition from brands like Redmi and its own subsidiary, Realme. To that extent, the company has announced the OPPO A9 2020 in India, a smartphone that hopes to tilt the balance back in the brand’s favour by offering features like a quad-camera setup and a mammoth battery. To know more about the smartphone and how it fares amidst the competition, read on our full review.
The OPPO A9 2020 has a lot going for it, including a stylish design, a never-ending battery life, and capable cameras. However, the lack of a full HD+ display and a Snapdragon 7xx processor are the bane of the phone’s existence.
Therefore, if you want the best bang for your buck, then you’ll be better off with a Redmi or a Realme smartphone in the same price range. However, if you are an OPPO loyalist and don’t need oodles of horsepower under the hood, then the A9 2020 is definitely worth a closer look.
