OPPO has finally launched its latest mid-range smartphones, the A9 2020 and the A5 2020, in the Indian market. The new phones will be available for purchase starting September 16th via Amazon India. The Chinese company has included quad-rear cameras on both the OPPO A9 2020 and the OPPO A5 2020. The phones also get a massive 5,000mAh battery and run Color OS 6.0.1 out of the box. These are the successors to the A9 and A5 smartphones from last year and we think OPPO has done a good job with the upgrade.

The OPPO A9 2020 price in India starts at Rs 16,990, which is for the variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Another variant, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available for Rs 19,990. The phone will be available in two colours - Marine Green and Space Purple. The OPPO A5 2020 comes in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration, priced at Rs 13,990. The OPPO A9 2020 will be available online via Amazon India starting September 16th, whereas the OPPO A5 2020 will go on sale starting September 21st.
The OPPO A9 2020 and the OPPO A5 2020 smartphones have a lot of common features. For example, both devices come with a 6.5-inch with a waterdrop notch and HD+ resolution. The phones also feature a large 5,000mAh battery, which promises all-day usage. At the back, both the handsets get an oval-shaped fingerprint scanner and the vertical camera setup. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 665 chipset. The OPPO A9 2020 gets a maximum of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, whereas the OPPO A5 2020 has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phones also get a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Coming to the cameras, the A9 2020 gets a primary 48-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide unit, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and another 2-megapixel depth unit. The OPPO A5 2020 gets a 12-megapixel primary sensor, while all the other sensors remain the same. For selfies, the A9 2020 has a 16-megapixel camera, whereas the A5 2020 makes do with an 8-megapixel sensor.
