The upcoming OPPO Find N6 is expected to make its debut shortly after the Chinese New Year, with speculation pointing to early March. While OPPO has officially acknowledged the device, the company has yet to confirm a launch date. That said, reliable tipster Yogesh Brar claims the OPPO Find N6 will be unveiled on March 17th. The foldable is said to launch in China alongside select global markets, including parts of South Asia and the EU. However, despite OPPO’s bold claims that the Find N6 will tackle a foldable display challenge the industry has largely avoided discussing (translated from Chinese), there will be “no India launch”, per the tipster.
While this wouldn’t be entirely surprising, given that its predecessor also skipped an India launch, it does contradict an earlier leak that suggested the OPPO Find N6 was being tested in the country. For now, these details remain speculative, and should be taken with a pinch of salt until OPPO makes an official announcement. What shouldn’t come as a surprise; however, is OPPO’s effort to solves the foldable display crease.
Zhou Yibao, head of OPPO’s Find series, recently conducted an internal product showcase for the upcoming smartphone. In a video shared on Weibo, it is being reported that the frontline employees have appreciated the experience of the optimised screen, calling it “stunning”. This is being attributed to the years of efforts of OPPO’s R&D, which has resulted in Find N6 overcoming the long-standing problem of creases that has plagued the industry for years.
A report claims that the OPPO Find N6 will have a “shallowest” crease in the industry. While we are not sure what exactly it means by that, it seems that the smartphone will have the smoothest foldable display to enhance the visual experience. The Find N6 is also being dubbed as the “thinner and lighter than a traditional foldable smartphone”, even with the reported 8.1-inch foldable screen and a 6.6-inch cover display. Moreover, it is reported that it will be the world’s first foldable with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.
Tipster Yogesh Brar has further backed the previous claims of 200MP camera and 6,000mAh battery specifications of the smartphone. Moreover, he said the device is being pitched by OPPO as an ‘Ultra Foldable Phone’, which will be feature AI stylus support and available in Titanium and Orange colours. Other leaks and rumours suggest the smartphonbe will also sport a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and 80W fast charging capabilities.
That’s all we know for now. Reports also suggest that OPPO could unveil the Find X9 Ultra alongside the Find N6. Positioned above the ‘Pro’ variant introduced late last year, the upcoming Find X9 Ultra is expected to be a more powerful offering.
Both devices are shaping up to deliver the full suite of features one would expect from ultra-premium smartphones. However, with their India launch still uncertain, buyers may want to look at alternatives such as the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold in the foldable segment, or the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max in the ultra-flagship category.
