OPPO Find N6 & Find X9 Ultra will reportedly launch in China early next year

Highlights
  • The OPPO Find N6 is anticipated to launch ahead of the Chinese New Year, which begins on February 17th, 2026.
  • This will be followed by the Find X9 Ultra launch in March 2026.
  • The Find N6 is expected to be the first foldable smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The OPPO Find N6, reportedly being tested in India, may be unveiled in China first. Tipster Smart Pikachu (per the translation) took to the Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, to reveal the launch time of the company’s book-style foldable smartphone, along with the OPPO Find X9 Ultra. The latter will be the successor to the Find X8 Ultra (review), which unfortunately didn’t debut in India, and there are no details that the X9 Ultra will, yet.

The Find N6 could become the brand’s first foldable smartphone since the Find N3 Flip (review) in India in 2023, if its launch rumours are anything go by. The device may be officially unveiled as early as 17 February 2026. According to the tipster, development has been fast-tracked, raising the possibility of a debut ahead of the Chinese New Year, a major 15-day festival in China that falls in February.

As seen in the past, the company may then introduce the device in India within a month or two of its global announcement. That said, official confirmation is still awaited.

There is little we know about the smartphone yet, except that the OPPO Find N6 is expected to be the first foldable with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Moreover, the device is described as “thinner and lighter than a traditional foldable smartphone”, even with the reported 8.1-inch foldable screen and a 6.6-inch cover display, making it one of the most aniticipated launches of next year.

Meanwhile, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra could go official in China in March 2026. This will be the ultra-premium smartphone from the brand, positioned above the Find X9 Pro, which has been launched in India. Expect the smartphone to come with all the flagship bells and whistles.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra has been in the testing phase for some time. Early reports suggest that there are some “surprises” in store for the smartphone’s 6.8-inch 2K LTPO OLED display. Moreover, the smartphone could feature a quad camera system, comprising a 200MP primary sensor, a 200MP mid-telephoto lens, a 50MP ultra-telephoto sensor, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

At its core may lie the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, instead of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC on the Find X9 and X9 Pro. The battery capacity could be 7,000mAh+. It will be interesting to see the charging speeds on the Find X9 Ultra, which was one of our peeve points on the Find X9 Pro (review). With those specifications, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra could give ultra-flagship smartphones a run for their money if (a big ‘if’) OPPO decides to bring the smartphone to India.
