OPPO Find X9 Ultra specifications, features
The rear camera system is the main attraction of the Find X9 Ultra. There are a total of five cameras housed in a large, circular module, all co-developed with Hasselblad and processed through OPPO’s LUMO Image Engine. The primary camera uses a 200MP Sony LYTIA 901 sensor (1/1.12-inch) at f/1.5, one of the largest sensors on any flagship primary camera. Alongside it sits a 200MP 3x ultra-sensing telephoto, a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus, and the headline addition: a 50MP 10x optical zoom telephoto JNL sensor developed in partnership with Samsung. At 230mm equivalent, it is the largest sensor ever used at 10x zoom on a smartphone. Where Vivo chose to extend the X300 Ultra’s reach with an add-on telephoto extender kit, OPPO has built that reach directly into the phone.

The Find X9 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. This flagship chip also powers the Vivo X300 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and performance here is exactly what you would expect: fast, responsive, and cool-running under load.
OPPO is using a 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery inside the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, making it larger than the 6,600mAh unit in the Vivo X300 Ultra. This does result in a noticeable difference in real-world usage, which we will speak in detail about in our full review. Charging is rated at 100W SUPERVOOC wired, with a full charge delivered quickly, and 50W AIRVOOC wireless. Reverse wired and wireless charging are also supported.
The Find X9 Ultra runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, with five years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches promised, which trails the seven-year commitments from Samsung and Google. Even Vivo is promising a 5+7 software policy for the X300 Ultra. Software highlights include the Aqua Dynamics live notification system, a new Live Space capsule on the lock screen, O+ Connect for cross-platform file sharing with AirDrop compatibility, OPPO AI tools including AI Recorder with real-time transcription and AI Summarisation, and Google Gemini integration.

Should you buy the OPPO Find X9 Ultra?
If you are looking for the most complete camera phone available in India right now, the Find X9 Ultra makes a very strong case. The penta-camera system with a native 10x optical zoom covers every focal length without requiring additional accessories, and the two 200MP sensors deliver a level of detail and low-light performance that few phones can match. The display is exceptional, the battery life outlasts the Vivo X300 Ultra under real-world conditions, and ColorOS 16 is the most refined the software has ever been. All of this and more in our detailed review soon.
The one genuine trade-off is software longevity. Four years of OS updates and five years of security patches trail behind Samsung, Google, and Vivo at this price point. For a phone at Rs 1,70,000, that gap is noticeable and worth thinking about before committing. Everything else, however, earns its price tag.
