OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra could raise the bar for smartphone cameras
Vivo and OPPO have already launched their flagship smartphones, but another ‘Ultra’ model is reportedly being prepped. As the name suggests, the Ultra model will be the top-end offering in the flagship lineup, and the most expensive as well. Both the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra have been rumoured for some time, and now their camera specs have leaked online. The upcoming Ultra models are also tipped to launch in March in China, with a possible global release later.
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra will feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor. It’s tipped to house another periscope telephoto lens, which will be a 50MP sensor with 10x optical zoom. That’s not it. The Find X9 Ultra is also tipped to feature a 200MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. That’s quite a lot of cameras to fit in one phone, but it isn’t something new for OPPO, as we’ve already seen a similar setup in the previous Ultra models.

The OPPO Find X8 Ultra, for context, has a quad-camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and dual 50MP periscope telephoto lenses with 3x and 6x optical zoom. Although a similar setup, the upgrades would be major.
