A new OPPO smartphone, model number PYE110, has surfaced on China’s TENAA certification website. The handset is rumoured to be part of the OPPO A7 series and is expected to feature a 6.57-inch display. So far, the OPPO A7 Pro Max has been confirmed to launch in China, and it is said to pack a massive 10,000mAh battery. OPPO has not officially announced any other A7 series device yet, including this newly spotted handset. Interestingly, the certifications have also revealed the design of the OPPO PYE110, which appears quite similar to the Vivo S2, a phone set to launch in India soon.

OPPO PYE110 design revealed

According to the images on the TENAA listing, the OPPO PYE110 has a horizontal camera bar housing two sensors and an LED flash. The smartphone has a flat frame with the power button and volume keys located on the right side. The colour variant here appears to be a dark violet shade.

Interestingly, this OPPO phone looks quite like the Vivo S2, which also has a similar camera bar design. The Vivo S2 is set to debut in India next week. There’s no official word on the new OPPO phone yet, but it’s speculated to launch under the OPPO A series. If this is indeed an A-series device, it suggests OPPO is continuing to bolster its mid-range offerings, potentially targeting markets where budget-friendly yet stylish phones are in high demand, or perhaps filling a specific price point gap within their extensive A-series lineup.

In terms of specifications, the OPPO PYE110 is expected to feature a 6.57-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,372 pixels) AMOLED display. This would mean a slightly compact size, making it a good choice for people who don’t want a phone that’s too big or too small. It’s also listed with 6GB and 8GB RAM options, along with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options on TENAA. More specifications include an octa-core chipset with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz, a 50MP rear camera unit, and an 8MP front camera. These specs suggest a mid-range smartphone with a focus on design and a decent set of hardware.

This OPPO smartphone will most likely fall in the mid-range segment. We’re yet to know more about it, especially which series it could belong to, and most importantly, the phone’s name. Since it’s too early, we can’t say much about the OPPO PYE110, but you could still keep an eye out for it if the camera design and the compact 6.5-inch size appeal to you. Given the early stage, it’s wise to wait for official announcements and full specifications before making any purchase decisions, especially if you own a recent A-series device and are considering an upgrade.
