[Exclusive] OPPO Reno 2F price in India to be below Rs 20,000; to feature Snapdragon 710 SoC

OPPO Reno 2F is expected to be a part of a trio of handsets that the brand will be unveiling next week. And now 91mobiles has learnt from industry sources that the Reno 2F would replace the mid-range F series of smartphones from the brand. As per the information at our hand, the upcoming OPPO Reno 2F will feature Snapdragon 710 chipset and the handset will be priced below Rs 20,000 in India.

Notably, there have been rumours that the brand will be launching Reno 2Z and Reno 2F smartphones with quad-camera setups alongside the OPPO Reno 2. Interestingly enough, OPPO has already revealed the Reno 2 specifications. The handset will feature a 6.55-inch AMOLED Panoramic display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 93.1 screen-to-body ratio. It’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 730G processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB built-in storage. For gamers, the phone will come with anti-cheat extensions, HDR10 Gaming support, Game Assistant etc. For security, there will be a third-generation optical fingerprint sensor embedded in the display. The front panel has a layer of Gorilla Glass 6, while the back will be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

The Reno 2 features a 4,000mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast-charging support and USB Type-C port for connectivity. The smartphone will come in Ocean Blue and Luminous Black colour options. While the company has not revealed details about OPPO Reno 2 cameras, the TENAA listing from yesterday has already shown that the phone will feature 48MP + 13MP + 8MP + 2MP quad-camera setup on the back and a 16MP selfie sensor. There will also be microSD card support up to 256GB, and 2x optical zoom. The company has previously revealed features such as the shark fin-style pop-up selfie camera module, 20x digital zoom, and 5x hybrid zoom. 

The OPPO Reno 2, Reno 2F and Reno 2Z would be announced on August 28th, so we won’t have to wait for long to confirm the specs of the Reno 2F and 2Z smartphones as well.
