The month of May got a lot busier with each passing day. This week, we witnessed a range of new phones getting announced, including some very popular names like the POCO F6 series, Realme GT 6T, OPPO Reno 12 series, the iQOO Neo 9s Pro and more. In this article, we will quickly recap the phones launched in India and globally.

Phones launched this week

Infinix GT 20 Pro

Infinix GT 20 Pro made its debut in India on May 20th alongside other GT verse products like the GT Book laptop, RGB headphones, RGB mouse, RGB desk mat and others.

Infinix GT 20 Pro specifications

Display: 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate processor paired with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU for graphics.
RAM/Storage: 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
OS: Android 14-based HiOS 14 custom skin out of the box.
Cameras: 108MP OIS-enabled Samsung HM6 sensor, 2MP depth, as well as, a 2MP macro sensor with mini LED. We get a 32MP sensor on the front.
Battery: 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging technology.

Price: The Infinix GT 20 Pro is priced at Rs 24,999 for the 8GB/ 256GB variant and Rs 26,999 for the 12GB/256GB model.

POCO F6 series

The POCO F6 series launched globally on May 23rd with the POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro. However, only the base POCO F6 has made it to India. It is also the first phone in the country to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.

Display: 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,160Hz PWM, 2,400 nits peak local brightness, Dolby Vision, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and 480Hz touch sampling rate.
Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 paired with Adreno GPU for graphics.
RAM/Storage: 8GB/12GB LPPDDR5x RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
OS: Android 14-based HyperOS custom skin out of the box.
Camera: The POCO F6 features a 50MP Sony IMX822 sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide. There is a 20MP shooter for selfies.
Battery: The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired charging support.

Price: Rs 29,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, Rs 31,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and Rs 33,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model.

Realme GT 6T

Realme GT 6T launched in India on May 22nd marking the return of the brand’s GT lineup in the country after two years.

Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno GPU for graphics.

OS: Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin out of the box.
Cameras: 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. 32MP Sony IMX615 snapper for selfies and video chats.
Others: An IP65 rating, an X-axis linear vibration motor, an IR blaster, and dual stereo speakers. There could be an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Battery: The phone will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

Price: Rs 30,999 for the 8GB + 128GB, Rs 32,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, Rs 35,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model and Rs 39,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant.

iQOO Neo 9s Pro

iQOO Neo 9s Pro was launched in China on May 20th and sits alongside the iQOO Neo 9.

Display: The iQOO Neo 9s Pro sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, up to 1400 nits brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming.
Processor: The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset paired with Immortalis-G720 GPU.
Battery, charging: 5,160mAh battery paired with 120W fast charging support.
Software: Android 14-based OriginOS 4.0 custom skin out of the box.
RAM and storage: 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
Cameras: The iQOO Neo 9s Pro features a 50MP primary Sony IMX920 VC Bionic camera and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies.

Price: The iQOO Neo 9s Pro starts at RMB 2,999 (approx Rs. 34,500) for the 12GB/256GB model, and goes up to RMB 3,999 (roughly Rs. 46,000) for the 16GB/1TB version.

OPPO Reno 12 series

OPPO Reno 12 series finally launched in China as the successor to the Reno 11 lineup. The OPPO Reno 12 India launch date isn’t known yet.

Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1200 nits peak brightness, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Reno 12 Pro processor: MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ Star Speed Edition with Immortalis-G715 GPU.
Reno 12 processor: The vanilla Reno 12 gets the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition 4nm with Mali-G610 MC6 GPU.
Cameras: The Reno 12 features a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera with up to 20x digital zoom.
There is a 50MP front camera for selfies and video chats.
RAM/Storage: 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage
OS: Android 14 with ColorOS 14 custom skin out of the box.
Battery: The phones pack a 5,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Price: OPPO Reno 12 Pro starts at RMB 3,399 (Rs 39,800 approx) and goes all the way up to RMB 3,999 (Rs 46,800 approx). On the other hand, the Reno 12 starts at RMB 2,699 (Rs 31,500 approx) and goes up to RMB 3199 (around Rs 36,800).

Vivo Y200 Pro

Vivo Y200 Pro launched in India on May 21st as a costlier variant of the standard Vivo Y200.

Price: The Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 24,999 for the sole 8GB+128GB model.

Tecno Camon 30 series

Tecno Camon 30 Premier and Camon 30 phones launched in India on May 20th.

TECNO CAMON 30 series 5G specifications

Display: 6.77-inch 1.5K AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1400 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection
Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate 5G 4nm processor, while the Camon 30 uses MediaTek Dimensity 7020.
RAM/Storage: 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Camon 30 comes in 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage options.
OS: Android 14-based HiOS 14 custom skin out of the box.
Cameras: 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There is a 50MP front camera. The Camon 30 gets a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor.

Price: Tecno Camon 30 5G is priced at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version and Rs 26,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version. The Tecno Camon 30 Premier costs Rs 39,999 for the single 12GB + 512GB version.
