POCO F6 India price, availability

The POCO F6 is expected to be priced below Rs 35,000 in India and be available through Flipkart. If this rumour is true, then the device will be pricier than its predecessor which came at Rs 29,999 in the country. We will discern the probable reasons for this below.

POCO F6 specifications (expected)

POCO F6 is believed to be a rebadged Redmi K70 for the Indian market with some changes. Based on this and other rumours, here’s what it could possess:

  • Display: The POCO F6 could feature a 6.67-inch screen. This will be an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,400 nits peak local brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, 480Hz touch sampling rate, 2,160Hz PWM, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. So, compared to POCO F5, this device could be brighter, sharper, mitigate flicker better, and have improved glass protection.
  • Processor: The handset could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. This is different and more powerful than what’s within Redmi K70 and POCO F5. It could also lend better optics thanks to a better ISP.

  • Heat management: POCO has been teasing the 4800 mm² POCO ICELOOP System which could provide a larger heat dissipation surface. The company claims 3x better cooling than conventional cooling options. Good news for gamers!
  • Software: A new device, so it will bring HyperOS with Android 14. What we are looking forward to is the software upgrade promise from the brand during the launch.
  • Camera: The handset is confirmed to sport a 50MP main camera with 4K 60fps video recording capability. It could bring an 8MP ultrawide sensor on the back. For selfies, it could have a 20MP camera on the front. The main back camera is of lower resolution than POCO F5’s 64MP shooter. But the F6’s front camera has more megapixels. But, we reserve judgment until we test the camera in the real world.
  • Battery: Powering all these on the POCO F6 is a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired charging support. By Redmi K70 estimates, the charger could top up the tank full in 18 minutes while the POCO F5’s 67W charger would take 46 minutes to do so.
  • Miscellaneous: Among other things, the device will have dual stereo speakers, LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, Dolby Atmos, and 2 colour options viz., Black and Titanium.
