Realme 12+ vs Redmi Note 13: Design, colours

Realme 12+ and Redmi Note 13 are distinct in terms of design, at least from the back panel. With the Realme 12+, you get a large circular camera module at the back, and a vegan leather finish. It comes in two colour options of Pioneer Green and Navigator Beige. Up front, there’s a punch-hole camera for selfies, and flat side edges.

Redmi Note 13 has a square camera cutout on the top-left corner of the phone. This one too has flat edges with a punch-hole camera up front. It comes in three colour options of Stealth Black, Arctic White and Prism Gold. The white and gold variants have a patterned back panel.

When it comes to design, the choice is quite subjective, and you can go for whichever seems more appealing to your eyes. But if we had to pick one, the Realme 12+ offers a more premium and elegant look over the Redmi Note 13.

Realme 12+ vs Redmi Note 13: Display

Realme 12+ comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1200 nits of peak brightness. It also features ‘Rainwater Smart Touch’ that makes the display responsive even with water droplets on the screen. In comparison, the Redmi Note 13 features a 6.67-inch FHD+ pOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1000 nits of peak brightness.

Both phones offer almost the same display configurations but the Realme 12+ has a higher brightness level, which should prove advantageous in bright-lit outdoors. The two phones have proved to work quite well even under harsh sunlight.

Realme 12+ vs Redmi Note 13: Cameras

In the photography department, it features a 50MP SONY LYT-600 primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera and 2MP portrait camera. There’s a 16MP front camera for selfies on the Realme 12+. Realme 12+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with Mali-G68 GPU. It comes in two variants of 8GB + 128GB and 8GB+256GB along with 8GB of Dynamic RAM. Redmi Note 13, on the other hand, comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, and 8GB of RAM. This phone too offers 8GB of virtual RAM for enhanced performance.

Realme 12+ vs Redmi Note 13: Battery

Realme 12+ 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery and 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology. With the Redmi Note 13 too you get a 5,000mAh battery but only up to 33W fast charging support.

In terms of battery life, the Realme 12+ should last well through an entire day. The Redmi Note 13 can easily last for 10 hours. But if you want faster charging, then the Realme 12+ is the choice here.

Key takeaways

If we do a spec-by-spec comparison, the Realme 12+ does have a little bit more to offer in certain areas. So if we were to choose which one offers better value-for-money, then it would be the Realme 12+ since both phones have the same price for the same variants. But that’s not to say the Redmi Note 13 is any less, and you shouldn’t face any difficulties with this phone. If budget is an issue then you can consider the Redmi Note 13’s 6GB + 128GB variant, which is priced lesser than the Realme 12+.
