Realme 16x 5G set to launch in India on August 12th with a 7,000mAh battery, 144Hz display
Following multiple leaks and certification sightings, the Realme 16x has been officially teased to launch in India. The new handset is expected to launch as a budget offering, succeeding the Realme 15x, which launched in India last October at a starting price of Rs 16,999. Ahead of its official launch, the Realme 16x’s key details about its camera, battery, and display have been officially revealed.

The Realme 16x is confirmed to launch in India on August 12th. The handset will be available via Flipkart, realme.com, and mainline stores. It will launch in two colours: Endurance Brown and Glory White. Both variants have a patterned finish at the back and a vertically-aligned camera setup resting on a metal plate. The Realme 16x will house a large 7,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, bypass charging, and reverse charging support. The handset is also said to deliver up to 6 years of battery health, and it’s claimed to last up to two days on a single charge. With this battery capacity, the Realme 16x should comfortably last an entire day or more, depending on the usage. The handset is confirmed to feature a 144Hz display with 1,200 nits peak brightness, which means you’ll get a smooth scrolling experience and animations.
Realme is also adding its proprietary GT BOOST gaming optimisation engine, which uses AI to deliver higher and more stable frame rates, resulting in a smoother and more immersive gaming experience. Based on these specs, the Realme 16x could compete with the Vivo T5 Lite.
