Realme P1 Pro vs Infinix Note 40 Pro: design

The Realme P1 Pro and Infinix Note 40 Pro have premium designs, which makes them eye-pleasing, especially for those looking for aesthetics. Both phones feature a curved display, which gives the mid-range phones a premium look. The colour choices both brands are offering too are quite impressive; the Vintage Green colour of the Note 40 Pro has a leather finish on the back.

On the front, both phones offer a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout and narrow bezels. While the Realme P1 Pro has a circular camera module on the back, the Infinix Note 40 Pro has a large rectangular bar to house the triple camera sensors. Realme P1 Pro comes with an IP65 rating for water and dust resistance. While the Infinix Note 40 Pro offers an IP53 rating.

Realme P1 Pro vs Infinix Note 40 Pro: display

The Realme P1 Pro and the Infinix Note 40 Pro have the same AMOLED display. Both phones should offer a premium content viewing and gaming experience. We get warm saturated colours which should be pleasing to the eyes compared to the typical IPS LCD panels. The phones also get matching 120Hz refresh rate and curved edges to add to the aesthetics.

Realme-P1-Pro

Realme P1 Pro takes the lead with the brightest panel, thanks to the peak 2000 nits brightness compared to 1300 nits brightness. There is also a 1260Hz instant touch sampling rate which comes in handy with better touch response during gaming. However, the Infinix Note 40 Pro offers a Corning Gorilla Glass layer for protection.

Rest, you get a 6.78-inch display on the Infinix Note 40 Pro, while the Realme P1 Pro gets a 6.7-inch panel.

Realme P1 Pro vs Infinix Note 40 Pro: performance

As for the performance, the Realme P1 Pro takes the lead here as well, thanks to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 ticking at its core, which is slightly superior to the Dimensity 7020 SoC. The Qualcomm chipset has managed to score 592,957 points in the AnTuTu benchmark compared to 461,827 points of the Infinix Note 40 Pro. Considering the difference is pretty high, this should reflect in the day-to-day performance and gaming experience as well.

The Realme phone also offers LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage combination, which should be faster than LPDDR4x and UFS 2.2 storage on Infinix.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro comes in a single 8GB/256GB storage option. While the Realme P1 Pro comes in two models: 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage.

Realme P1 Pro vs Infinix Note 40 Pro: camera

Realme-P1-Pro

The Realme P1 Pro offers a 50MP Sony LYT600 primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera for portrait shots. We get a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro packs a 108MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture, OIS and LED flash, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.

The 32MP selfie shooter on the Infinix Note 40 Pro should technically offer sharper selfies compared to the 16MP unit on the Realme P1 Pro. The 50MP Sony camera on the Realme P1 Pro should be able to offer better results compared to the 108MP camera despite packing a large sensor.

Realme P1 Pro vs Infinix Note 40 Pro: battery, software

The Realme P1 Pro and Infinix Note 40 Pro have the same 5,000mAh battery cells and 45W fast charging support. However, the latter comes with 20W MagCharge wireless charging support.

Infinix claims the bundled charger takes close to 26 minutes to charge fully from 0-50 percent. The HyperMode can charge up to 50 percent in just 19 minutes. Realme says it can reach 0-100 percent in 30 minutes. The difference is minute but still Infinix takes the lead.

Both phones run on Android 14 OS out of the box. Realme and Infinix are promising two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.

Verdict

The Realme P1 Pro takes a good lead thanks to its 2000 nits AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, which is a better performer than the MediaTek Dimensity 7020, and probably better cameras thanks to the Sony sensor. We also get faster UFS 3.1 storage compared to UFS 2.2 on the Infinix phone and a better IP65 rating.

However, Infinix offers something extra with the 20W wireless charging support, a slightly larger 6.78-inch display and a sharper 32MP camera sensor. But the Realme P1 Pro has more to offer than the Infinix Note 40 Pro.
