Here’s what the Redmi Note 15 Pro, Pro+ India spec sheet could look like
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series is shaping up to be one of the more interesting mid-range smartphone launches in India this year. Leaks from tipster Abhishek Yadav give a full look at the expected specs for India’s variants of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and Note 15 Pro, and they suggest notable upgrades over last year’s Note 14 Pro models. The phones are tipped to launch in the country on January 27th.
On the display front, both the Pro+ and Pro are tipped to pack 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panels with 120Hz refresh rates and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, which is slightly larger and tougher than the 6.67-inch screens on the Note 14 Pro series. Brightness, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support in the new models could make them easier to read outdoors and more enjoyable for video watching.

Under the hood, the differences between the two are clear. The Note 15 Pro+ is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while the Note 15 Pro could use a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra. Both chips are incremental upgrades over those in the previous generation and should handle everyday use and gaming well, though neither is quite in flagship territory.

These specs broadly match what has already appeared in global variants of the Note 15 Pro series, which were unveiled late last year. Globally, these phones ship with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, similar display tech, large batteries, and the same core chip assignments. Battery sizes and camera setups are consistent internationally, though regional tweaks like charging speeds sometimes differ.
If you’re planning to upgrade in the upper mid-range, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series looks worth waiting for, especially if display quality, battery life, and fast charging are high on your list. The larger 1.5K AMOLED screens, big batteries, and the jump to a 200MP main camera give both models an edge over the Note 14 Pro series on paper. Between the two, the Note 15 Pro+ makes more sense if you want faster charging and a better selfie camera, while the standard Note 15 Pro should suit buyers who want similar core features at a lower price. That said, if camera consistency, cleaner software, or longer update support matter more than raw specs, phones from Samsung or OnePlus may still be safer picks. Final pricing will be key, but if Redmi keeps increases in check, the Note 15 Pro lineup could offer strong value for everyday users who want big-screen phones without paying flagship prices.
From a strategy point of view, Redmi is doubling down on what the Note series has always done best — pushing big screens, large batteries, and headline specs into the mid-range to stay aggressively priced against rivals. By keeping India specs aligned with global models, Redmi could be signalling a more streamlined approach.
