After launching the Redmi Note 15 in India earlier this month, Xiaomi is now ready to launch the Pro models. The Redmi Note 15 Pro series is launching in India on January 29th, the brand has officially announced. The lineup could include two phones: the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+. Both phones have already launched in China and made their global debut as well. The Indian variants could arrive with some changes, though.
According to official teasers, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series will feature a 200MP MasterPixel OIS camera with HDR + AI engine, multifocal portraits, and 4K video recording support. The series is confirmed to feature IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings along with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It also has what’s called the ‘Redmi Titan structure’, providing 10x resistance. This suggests that the phone will be highly durable.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series will pack a 6,500mAh battery with 100W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse charging support. This would be a marginal upgrade over the Redmi Note 14 Pro+’s 6,200mAh battery. But it should result in a comfortable 1+ day usage. Redmi says the battery is designed to last for five years. Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is confirmed so far, and this chipset could be powering the Pro+ model. While this is a decent mid-range chipset, it might fall short against phones that use faster chipsets like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. You’re also getting IceLoop cooling, which should ensure good heat dissipation while gaming.

Up front, there’s a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 3,200 nits peak brightness, which could be uniform on both models. The Redmi Note 15 Pro series is said to launch with up to 24GB of RAM, including 12GB virtual RAM. There’s AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, and AI Interpreter, which will be part of the software experience on the Redmi Note 15 Pro series. AI already plays a major part in smartphones these days, and Redmi seems to be on track as well.
The entire spec sheet of the Redmi Note 15 Pro series leaked recently, confirming most of the details revealed above. You can also expect a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra on the Redmi Note 15 Pro, along with a slightly bigger 6,580mAh battery, but slower 45W charging. The Pro model is also tipped to get the same 200MP camera with an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
Based on what’s known so far, the Redmi Note 15 Pro series appears to bring meaningful upgrades over the previous lineup. If Redmi maintains similar pricing, the Note 15 Pro series is likely to land in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment. At this price point, the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro+ could be worth waiting for, particularly for buyers looking for a more premium and durable design, capable cameras, a large battery, and reliable performance. Overall, the series has the potential to offer a well-rounded mid-range package.
