Redmi Watch 6 with AMOLED display, up to 24 days battery life launched globally
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Watch 6 in China last October. The company has now made the smartwatch available in select global markets. The Redmi Watch 6 is the brand’s latest and most premium wearable, offering an AMOLED display, NFC support, up to 24 days of battery life, and several health features. There’s no word on an India launch yet, but Redmi regularly updates its smartwatch portfolio here, so the Redmi Watch 6 will most likely debut too. Redmi is known to offer budget-friendly smartwatches in India, usually priced under Rs 5,000. The latest Redmi Watch 6 is expected to continue that strategy for the brand.

The Redmi Watch 6 features a 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. The smartwatch comes with 2mm bezels, has an always-on display, and raises to wake as well. The 2,000 nits peak brightness makes the AMOLED display quite legible even in direct sunlight, a crucial advantage for outdoor enthusiasts. With this setup, the Redmi Watch 6 should be good for outdoor use, and it’s also on par with what rivals offer in the same segment. It’s 9.9mm thick, which is 1.4mm thinner than the previous model. You also get a physical button to open the control center, shut down, or restart, and you can adjust it to call an emergency contact. The Redmi Watch 6 NFC variant lets you make contactless payments through Mastercard and Visa.
The Redmi Watch 6 packs a 550mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 24 days of battery life with light usage. Under normal usage, the smartwatch is said to last up to 12 days, while heavy usage can bring that down to around seven days.
It also supports more than 150 sports modes and comes with 5ATM water resistance, making it suitable for swimming and everyday water exposure. For navigation and tracking, the Redmi Watch 6 features an independent GNSS setup with dual L1 antennas and support for five satellite positioning systems for improved accuracy. Xiaomi says the smartwatch can automatically switch to the antenna with the stronger signal, depending on how the watch is being worn, helping maintain stable connectivity.
The Redmi Watch 6 is also equipped with health features, including 24/7 heart rate monitoring, along with abnormal heart rate alerts, blood oxygen measurement, stress management, sleep analysis, and low blood oxygen alerts.
The smartwatch has been made available in select markets like Thailand, where it’s priced at THB 3,190 (Rs 9,400 approx). The NFC variant, which sells in Poland, is priced at PLN 499, which translates to around Rs 13,200. Based on the specs and features, the Redmi Watch 6 is recommended for those who want a premium-looking smartwatch with features for everyday use, fitness, and health.
