Samsung is looking to launch more affordable 5G smartphones come 2021 and one of these phones will be the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G, as per a report by SamMobile. The Samsung Galaxy A42 with model number SM-A426B is reportedly in the works and will offer 5G support. Samsung has been leading the charge with 5G smartphones and has already launched the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S20, Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 models in 5G versions.

The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is said to feature 128GB storage onboard and will come in grey, black and white colours. The successor to Samsung Galaxy A41 may also be launched in a 4G version for markets that may not have 5G services in 2021. The rest of the Galaxy A42 specifications remain vague at the moment. 

In related news, Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy Note 20 series, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G on August 5th, all of which are expected to come with 5G support. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is likely to come with improved S-Pen support, high 120Hz refresh rate QHD+ display, and 108MP primary camera. The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will is rumoured to feature an Infinity-O panel instead of notch-screen. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, on the other hand, will be nothing but a 5G version of the current Galaxy Z Flip.
