Samsung Galaxy S24 series Geekbench results show Exynos is catching up with Snapdragon

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be powered by the in-house Exynos 2400 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Samsung usually keeps the more preferred Snapdragon models for the North American market, while the rest gets the Exynos variants. This time there might be some change as the Indian variants of the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra are tipped to come with the Snapdragon chipset.

The Snapdragon models have mostly proven to perform better than their Exynos counterparts but it looks like the latter is catching up this time. 

Geekbench results for Exynos 2400, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

  • The Galaxy S24 series is yet to debut so we can’t determine the phones’ performance yet, but what we can check for now are the benchmark results. 
  • The initial Geekbench results showed the Snapdragon model leading, but the Exynos model is also catching up quickly.
  • Galaxy S24+ with Exynos 2400 scored 2067 points in the single-core test, and 6520 points in the multi-core test. The Galaxy S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored 2234 points in the single-core test, and 6807 in the multi-core test. 
  • The latest scores of the same models show 2193 and 6895 points for the Exynos model. The Snapdragon model also improved with 2297 and 7104 points on Geekbench. 

  • The Geekbench results show the Exynos 2400 chipset catching up quickly to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But we can only determine the final results after detailed reviews of both models. 

As we get closer to the Galaxy S24 series launch, we’re seeing more sightings of the upcoming flagships. The Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra were spotted on Singapore’s IMDA certification website. The listing doesn’t reveal any specs but there have been enough leaks that tell us what to expect from the Galaxy S24 series.
