Samsung Galaxy S25 FE goes on sale in India with free storage upgrade: should you buy?
The Galaxy S25 FE launched in India earlier this month, and it is now finally available to purchase. The new phone sits in Samsung’s popular FE (Fan Edition) lineup and is positioned as a gateway to the Galaxy AI ecosystem, bringing features like Gemini Live, Circle to Search, and AI-powered editing tools to a wider audience at a more accessible price than the flagship Galaxy S25 series.
For a limited time, Samsung is offering a free storage upgrade. Customers buying the 256GB variant will be upgraded to 512GB at no extra cost. There’s also a Rs 5,000 cashback on HDFC Bank credit or debit cards. Buyers can opt for up to 24 months of no-cost EMI plans. Those purchasing Galaxy Buds3 FE along with the S25 FE will get Rs 4,000 off on the earbuds. A two-year screen protection plan is also available at an introductory price of Rs 4,199.

The Galaxy S25 FE is priced at Rs 59,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, Rs 65,999 for the 8GB+256GB model, and Rs 77,999 for the 8GB+512GB version.
The phone features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Power comes from a 4,900mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging support. This is the same battery capacity as the Galaxy S25+ and only just 100mAh less than the S25 Ultra. With heavy usage, the phone struggles to last an entire day, requiring a charge once before the end of the day. Samsung has also added a 13 percent larger vapour chamber for better thermal performance during gaming and multitasking. In our review, we found that the S25 FE tends to heat up during intensive tasks, but with regular usage, this isn’t much of an issue.
On the camera side, the S25 FE uses a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. It has a 12MP selfie camera, which is an upgrade over the 10MP sensor on the S24 FE. But how do its cameras perform? Our review tells us that the Galaxy S25 FE takes natural-looking photos in good light, though shadows can feel slightly crushed. The ultrawide is average, while the 3x telephoto delivers flattering results. Selfies are detailed, and low-light shots with Night Mode look clean and true to life, making the overall camera setup reliable in most conditions.
