Highlights

Close on the heels of refreshing its flagship S-series of tablets, Samsung has silently announced a new entry-level tablet, the Galaxy Tab A11, targeting budget buyers and students. The device starts at the same price as its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab A9, which was launched in 2023. The Galaxy Tab A11 packs a 2.2GHz octa-core processor which Samsung hasn’t explicitly named. The device is powered by a 5,100mAh battery, features an 8.7-inch TFT display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and includes standard 8MP rear and 5MP front cameras. The tablet comes in two colour options: Grey and Silver.

The Galaxy Tab A11 has a slight price advantage over its competitors from Lenovo and Redmi in the budget segment, with the Wi-Fi variants priced at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and Rs 17,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB model. Meanwhile, the cellular options are priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 20,999 for the 4GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB RAM variants respectively. Storage is expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card. Competitors like Lenovo’s Tab M11 and Redmi’s Pad SE are priced at a slight premium, though they offer the advantage of slightly bigger screens and bigger batteries. Samsung, however, provides the advantage of 5G model options, while others stop the buck at LTE.
