Samsung mistakenly praises the iPhone 13 Pro

  • This incident took place in India at Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebration where Rihanna performed. A viral video showed the impressive zoom capabilities of a smartphone. The video was believed to have been taken by the Galaxy S24 Ultra to which Samsung Brazil replied saying, “I just came to show the power of my Galaxy S24 Ultra.”
  • The video shows a close-up view of the performance then zooms out showing how far the person was from the stage. This was naturally assumed to be the work of the Samsung flagship since it’s known for its impressive zoom capabilities.
  • It was later discovered that the video was taken by the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The person who shot the video also clarified this by posting the metadata, according to a report by Phone Arena.

It looks like the comment has been deleted now since it’s not visible anymore. But we’ve shared screenshots above that were posted by Phone Arena. Following this, iPhone and Samsung fanboys are still arguing about the incident on X.

This isn’t to say that Samsung phones are incapable of such videography prowess. Flagship Samsung phones come with inccredible zoom capabilities, so one can understand how Samsung Brazil could have made the mistake. And this incident is also very situational so it can depend on various other factors as well.
