Tecno Phantom V Fold is the brand’s first foldable phone and was launched during the MWC conference in 2023. Now, the brand is rumoured to be working on a successor, dubbed the Tecno Phantom V2 Fold. The foldable has now been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform and this reveals some key hardware specifications. To recall, the handset earlier appeared on the IMEI database.

Tecno Phantom V2 Fold appears on Geekbench

The Tecno Phantom V2 Fold bears the model number AE10.
The Geekbench listing, as spotted by MySmartPrice, shows the phone is running an octa-core chipset speculated to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC.
The chipset has four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, three cores clocked at 2.85 GHz, and a primary core clocked at up to 3.20 GHz. The source code section reveals Mali-G710 MC2 GPU.

The phone runs on Android 14 OS and packs 12GB RAM, but there could be other options at launch.
On Geekbench, the Tecno Phantom V2 Fold has managed to score 1273 in the single-core round and 3844 in the multi-core segment, respectively.

While the company hasn’t mentioned any launch timeline officially. GSMChina reports that the foldable might launch as early as Q1 2024. There are chances we might see an announcement around MWC 2024 as it did with the predecessor.

Software: Android 13-based HiOS 13 Fold out of the box.
RAM/Storage: 12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Rear Camera: We get a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and PDAF, a 50MP telephoto lens with f/2.0 aperture, 2x optical zoom support, and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. There is a large 16MP sensor on the primary display and a 32MP lens on the cover display.
