Vivo T4R debuts in India: Slim design, curved display, and MediaTek Dimensity 7400 under Rs 20,000
Vivo has launched the T4R, the fifth phone in its mid-range T4 lineup and the first to carry the ‘R’ branding. Vivo T4R starts at Rs 19,499 in India, and comes in two variants. It closely resembles the recently launched iQOO Z10R, sharing similar specifications and design. While the iQOO Z10R is available via Amazon, the Vivo T4R will go on sale through Flipkart.
Vivo claims the T4R is the slimmest phone in its segment, measuring just 7.39mm thick and featuring a quad-curved display. This sleek build is designed to provide a comfortable grip and immersive visuals, particularly during streaming sessions. The phone sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display (2392 × 1080 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. It supports HDR10+ and Netflix HDR.

The Vivo T4R boasts a durable design, with IP68/69 ratings for dust and water resistance, Diamond Shield Glass display protection, and anti-shatter film for added safety against concrete drops.
The Vivo T4R is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, the same as the one used in the iQOO Z10R and Realme Narzo 80 Pro. The phone reportedly scores over 750,000 on AnTuTu, suggesting promising performance for the price. We’ll be testing this in our full review soon. For photography, the Vivo T4R features a 50MP OIS primary camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera, with 4K video recording supported on both sides. Camera features include Aura Light for better low-light portraits, AI Photo Enhance, multi-focal portrait, underwater photography, and more. However, there’s no ultra-wide-angle camera, something competing phones like the CMF Phone 2 Pro or Redmi Note 14 offer for a more versatile setup.
The Vivo T4R packs a 5,700mAh battery with 44W fast charging and bypass charging. Bypass charging, as the name suggests, directly powers specific components of the phone, such as the chipset and display, instead of the battery itself, ensuring temperatures are in check during gaming. A 13,690mm² cooling system and onboard temperature sensors further help with heat management. For larger battery capacities, the Realme Narzo 80 Pro (6,000mAh) or OPPO K13 (7,000mAh) might be worth considering.
Out of the box, the T4R runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and Vivo promises two major OS upgrades (up to Android 17) and three years of security patches, a standard offering in this price range. The software includes AI tools like Circle to Search, AI Screen Translation, AI Transcript Assist, and AI Note Assist, as well as AI SuperLinkfor better signal stability.
The Vivo T4R stands out in the mid-range segment with its slim, quad-curved design, vibrant 6.77-inch AMOLED display, and reliable 5,700mAh battery. Gamers and media enthusiasts will appreciate features like GT Shoulder Triggers, BGMI 90FPS certification, and advanced heat management, while everyday users get solid cameras and AI-enhanced software tools.
However, the T4R shares many specifications with the iQOO Z10R, and alternatives like the Realme Narzo 80 Pro or OPPO K13 may offer slightly different advantages, such as larger batteries or broader camera setups.
