Vivo V80 allegedly spotted on Geekbench ahead of India launch, key specs revealed
The Vivo V80 is heading to India pretty soon. A week after it was officially teased, the handset has allegedly appeared on the benchmarking website Geekbench. The Vivo V80 has appeared on the website with model number V2648. This is the same model number which appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database a few days ago. While BIS didn’t confirm details, the Geekbench listing has shed some light on the Vivo V80’s key specifications.

Vivo V80 specifications (rumoured)
The Vivo V80 could debut with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC at its core. If so, it will be the same SoC that powers its predecessor, the Vivo V70 (review). The prototype that ran the benchmark confirms at least an 8GB RAM variant for the upcoming smartphone. Furthermore, it will boot Android 17 out of the box, which could be layered with the latest OriginOS 7.
The single-core benchmark score of the smartphone could be 1070, while on multi-core, it clocks 3552. These scores are within the same ballpark as the Vivo V70, making the upgrade a little less promising for performance enthusiasts.

However, rumours suggest that the Vivo V80 could come with an upgraded battery. The handset is expected to rock a 7,200mAh battery, which is a jump of 700mAh from its predecessor. This could make the Vivo V80 a notch better in terms of battery backup. Moving on, the smartphone has been teased in a couple of colour options and with a redesigned camera module.

The Vivo V80 will debut in orange and sky blue shades. The handset also appears to feature a large camera plateau, reminiscent of the iPhone 17/18 Pro models, marking a departure from the squircle-shaped camera module. The module will house two large, vertically aligned camera rings, accompanied by a smaller tertiary camera sensor positioned next to the bottom camera. The edges will continue to be flat, with the volume rocker and power button on the right spine.

Vivo V80 launch date
Vivo has yet to officially confirm the India launch date of the Vivo V80. However, if rumours are anything to go by, the handset could make its debut in the country in the first week of October.
The handset is likely to be a mid-range offering, priced above Rs 55,000, which is where the Vivo V70 is currently selling following price hikes. The Vivo V80 could be worth waiting for if you are a camera enthusiast. The handset is promised to deliver several AI-backed camera features, along with festive season modes.
