Vivo X Fold 6 China launch date
After weeks of teasers, Vivo has officially confirmed that the X Fold 6 will debut in China on June 26 at 7:00 PM CST (4:30 PM IST). Pre-orders are already live across major online platforms in the country, with early buyers entering a lucky draw for a chance to win the device for free.
Vivo X Fold 6: what to expect
Vivo is marketing the X Fold 6 as a “foldable mini DSLR,” and the headline feature is its camera setup. It packs a 200MP sensor alongside the first Zeiss APO super periscope telephoto lens on a foldable. The device also features Vivo’s Blueprint V3+ imaging chip and supports the Vivo Zeiss G2 teleconverter, extending the focal length equivalent to 200mm for enhanced zoom capabilities. This would bring the Vivo X Fold 6 closer to its flagship siblings, which are known for their camera prowess.

Design-wise, the foldable arrives in a new “Blue Hole” finish inspired by deep-sea sinkholes, complemented by rounded corners and a 2.5D metal frame with flat edges. Both displays use next-generation luminescent materials, while the inner panel adopts Samsung’s M14 technology, promising improved brightness and efficiency.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition, a chipset that Vivo says was developed specifically with foldables in mind. The brand claims a 111 percent boost in NPU performance and a 56 percent reduction in power consumption over its predecessor. It ships with OriginOS 6 Fold and an upgraded Atomic Workbench for enhanced multitasking.
On paper, the X Fold 6 looks set to challenge rivals by addressing two long-standing foldable concerns: cameras and productivity. Clubbed with a large battery, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to have an edge over rivals like the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8. Buyers who have avoided foldables due to imaging compromises may finally have a compelling reason to take a second look. If you’re a mobile photography enthusiast who has been waiting for a foldable with serious camera capabilities, the X Fold 6 might be worth considering, but wait for comprehensive reviews and global pricing before making a decision.
