Vivo X300s confirmed in place of X300 Max; 144Hz display, 200MP Zeiss camera teased

Highlights

Vivo has now confirmed that the rumoured X300 Max will not launch as previously speculated. Instead, the company will introduce the device as the Vivo X300s. It will launch as the successor to the Vivo X200s. The handset will be positioned alongside the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra as the fourth phone in the flagship lineup.

The confirmation came from Han Boxiao, who revealed that the company had internally discussed using the “Max” branding because of the scale of upgrades included in the device. However, Vivo ultimately decided to retain the “s” naming convention used for its flagship X-series. According to Boxiao, the “s” in X300s stands for “SuperMax,” reflecting improvements across multiple areas, particularly performance and multimedia capabilities.
