Xiaomi 13 series, Watch S1 Pro, Buds 4 Pro and more: everything Xiaomi launched at MWC 2023

Xiaomi finally took the wraps off its Xiaomi 13 series of smartphones in the global market during the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023. The Xiaomi 13 series, consisting of the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Lite, and Xiaomi 13 Pro, has finally been made commercially available. As a matter of fact, the top-tier Xiaomi 13 Pro has also been launched in India, and the Indian price will be revealed tomorrow.

Alongside the Xiaomi 13 lineup, Xiaomi also launched a bunch of other products, including the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, Watch S1 Pro, Wireless AR Glasses Discovery Edition, and more. Besides, Xiaomi also announced the list of eligible devices for MIUI 14, which can be accessed here.

Xiaomi 13 series launch event highlights

Xiaomi 13 Pro

The top-tier Xiaomi 13 Pro has a relatively larger 6.73-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 1900 nits peak brightness. Powering the Xiaomi 13 Pro is the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The Xiaomi 13 Pro also boots Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin out of the box. In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 4,820mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The device has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is coming to India and its price and availability will be revealed tomorrow.

Xiaomi 13

The Xiaomi 13 has a 6.36-inch FHD+ 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display with Dolby Vision and HDR10, and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, the device has the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device runs the latest MIUI 14 skin based on Android 13 out of the box. The Xiaomi 13 features a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging support.

The Xiaomi 13 is unlikely to launch in India.

Xiaomi 13 Lite

The entry-level device in the Xiaomi 13 series, the Xiaomi 13 Lite has a 120Hz refresh rate curved AMOLED display with a Dynamic Island-ish notch consisting of a 32MP + 8MP dual front camera setup. At the back, the device has a triple rear camera setup, with its main camera being a 50MP Sony IMX766 unit. The device comes powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. In terms of software, the Xiaomi 13 Lite features MIUI 14 based on Android 12 out of the box.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite will only be launched in select markets and it is unlikely to come to India.

Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro

The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro have finally been launched in the global market. The buds come with support for Bluetooth 5.3 and have an 11mm Dual-magnetic dynamic drivers and Hi-Fi audio. The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro support noise cancellation of up to 48dB with ANC turned on. The TWS have a 3Mic+ bone voiceprint sensor and are IP54 dust and water-resistant. As far as battery life is concerned, the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro offer nine hours with ANC off and a total battery life of 38 hours with ANC off. The buds can be charged wirelessly as well, as they have support for Qi wireless charging.

Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro

The Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro features a 1.47-inch AMOLED screen with a Sapphire glass protection. The watch has support for Always-on display and has a heart-rate sensor, accelerometer sensor, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, atmospheric pressure sensor, ambient light sensor, and a capacitive sensor for wear detection. In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro can be paired with Android devices running Android 6.0 and above and Apple devices running iOS 10 and above. The watch has a 500mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 14 days battery life for typical use and up to 10 days of battery life with heavy use.

Xiaomi Wireless AR Glasses Discovery Edition

The Xiaomi Wireless AR Glasses Discovery Edition offer low-latency wireless connectivity, a retina-eye near-eye display, and support for Xiaomi’s in-house Xiaomi AR gesture controls. The glasses will have multiple cameras and sensors to track the user/surrounding movement. The Xiaomi Wireless AR Glasses Discovery Edition has a magnesium-lithium alloy structure and carbon fibre materials. The lenses, on the other hand, use electro chromic technology, which lets users seamlessly switch between the virtual world and the real world with the click of a button.

Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra

Xiaomi launched a new electric scooter alongside the other products during its MWC 2023 event. The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra has a 940W motor, that is said to deliver up to 70km of range. The scooter is IP55 water and dust resistant. It comes with a dual suspension setup. The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra offers four different acceleration modes and has support for a host of first-party accessories.
