Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro likely to be available outside China as well: launch timeline, specifications

Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Pad 6 series in China this year, which consists of the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro tablets, and now the company is gearing up to unveil the Xiaomi Pad 7 series. It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro tablet was available only in China, while the standard Xiaomi Pad 6 was released in India and other global markets. However, there are indications that the Pro variant of the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 series might be introduced to the global market as well.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro global availability details

A recent report from GSMChina suggests that Xiaomi is planning to introduce the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet in markets worldwide.
According to the publication, the initial internal build of HyperOS has been spotted on Xiaomi’s server, indicating that the global launch of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is imminent.
The upcoming Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is expected to make its global debut in April 2024 alongside the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.

The report notes that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will be a gaming beast and is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
It’s important to highlight that the company has not officially confirmed this information at present.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro specifications (expected)

As per reports, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro tablet from Xiaomi is expected to feature a 10.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1480 x 2367 pixels, sourced from Tianma.
It is likely to maintain the 144Hz refresh rate seen in its predecessor.
Similar to the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, it will have a dual rear camera setup and a front-facing camera.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The tablet will run on Hyper OS 14 based on Android 14 and is expected to feature quad speakers supporting Dolby Atmos.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 was launched in India in June at Rs 26,999 for the 6GB+128GB storage and Rs 28,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant and is currently available on Xiaomi’s official website at the same launch price.
