Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has been steadily expanding its product portfolio in India this year. The company launched its first TWS earbuds and fitness tracker earlier this year and on Wednesday the company announced the Redmi Earbuds 2C and SonicBass wireless earphones in the country. Now, 91mobiles has learned from tipster Ishan Agarwal that the Redmi Soundbar will launch in India soon. While the exact timeline isn’t immediately clear, we speculate it could arrive ahead of the upcoming festive season.
Not much else is known about the Redmi Soundbar India launch at the moment, but the product should be priced aggressively given Redmi’s brand image. The launch of the Redmi Soundbar also suggests the company may bring its Redmi TVs to India as well.
To recall, the Redmi TV Soundbar was launched in China in May. It is possible this very soundbar may launch in India, probably under a different marketing name. The Redmi TV Soundbar features two 45 x 80mm runway-type full-range speakers with 30W output capacity. It is also equipped with a duct-type sound cavity.
The Redmi TV Soundbar offers S/PDIF and AUX port for wired connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless. It measures 78 cm x6.4 cmx6.3 cm and weighs 1.5Kg and comes in matt black colour.
